Revisiting - E-Win Flash Normal Series Gaming Chair
It’s been a while, so I figured that it was about time to revisit how the E-Win Flash has been doing. I first reviewed it in August 2017 when looking at gaming chairs, so people might be wondering how it’s faring. Have I broken it, has something come loose, have my kids drawn all over it?
Well, the good news is that I’m still using the chair daily. I still think it’s as comfortable as when I started using it - but I’ll admit that may be because I’ve worn it in, so I won’t dismiss that possibility. I still haven’t worked out the optimal placement for the back cushion, though…
One thing that I brought up in the original review was that the arms felt too loose. Over the year and change that I’ve been using the chair, they haven’t become any looser, so I’m quite happy about that. I still have the full range of movement with them, so that’s a good thing.
The only negative points might be related to that I don’t think that I tightened one of the screws enough when I was putting the chair together. It occasionally loosens itself, though not often enough for me to bother remembering where I put the hex keys. It could account for some of the squeak that occurs when I lean the chair back. I’ve tried applying WD40, but I don’t think I’m hitting the right places…
However, I’m still very happy with the E-Win Flash gaming chair, as are my kids who like to sit in it now and then. It’s still very comfortable for long periods of desk-time, it’s retained its full range of movement, it can hold myself with two of my kids on my lap… All in all, it’s a really decent chair.
So, if you read my original review and wondered how long an E-Win would last, this is your answer. Longer than 21 months. I honestly hadn’t realised that it had been so long, as the faux-leather is still smooth and uncracked, the cushions are still plump and firm, and apart from the squeaking it’s great. Just so long as I remember to vacuum up the creases every now and then, because I have a habit of eating biscuits while I work… But that’s not on E-Win, that’s on me and my packs of fruit shortcake.
There you have it - almost two years on, I would still happily recommend the E-Win Flash Series Gaming Chair. If you’re in the market for a gaming chair, then you can’t go wrong with this one.
