A Warhammer 40k Title and Some DLC is Free to Keep for a Limited Time on Steam

Warhammer is a long-standing franchise that has become a staple of the strategy genre, though its latest entry has also accrued some love in shooters thanks to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. From games set in mediaeval times to titles in the future with super soldiers, it has plenty of die-hard fans who'll follow it everywhere.

Though it can feel like a bit of a daunting franchise to get into, there's no better place to start than somewhere, as the strategy elements open up and players get to know the numerous races in the game. And, what better way to do so than through a title that's free-to-play right now?

Developed by Proxy Studios and published by Slitherine Ltd., Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War is currently free to pick up on the Steam PC storefront for a limited time. Bringing its price down from the usual £35.10 price tag, you can jump into the Steam store page and pick it up for free, yours to keep forever.

There's a catch, as there always is with free-to-keep promotions on Steam: there are limitations applied. If you pick it up for free, you will be ineligible to acquire Trading Cards from the game, but it'll still let you craft a badge if you're willing to pay or trade for all of the ones that you'll need. If not getting trading cards is too much of a turn-off for you, then you can also get it at a 90% discount for just £3.51, and that way, you'll be able to acquire your usual drops to either sell or trade for things.

It's not just Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War available, however. By claiming it, you also get two free DLC to keep and try out immediately as well, free of charge.
