Ale & Tale Tavern's Latest Update Adds Tons of New Features, Including Opening the Second Floor (The Inn)!

Ale & Tale Tavern's Latest Update Adds Tons of New Features, Including Opening the Second Floor (The Inn)!

Ale & Tale Tavern is an open-world fantasy first-person tavern simulator that has players doing everything from fishing, foraging, and cooking to serving in their very own tavern! None of it has to be done alone, either, as the game — developed by Scienart Games and published by GrabTheGames and UpgradePoint — can be played with up to three others. If you'd like to learn more, make sure to check out our review here!

In their latest Steam post, the developer talks about what arrived with the latest update, and it's quite a bit! So, here's a quick summary of everything you can look forward to in Ale & Tale Tavern's latest major update:

  • The second floor is now open.
  • There's a new inn feature.
  • New furniture centred around the inn, like beds.
  • New boss (and a special reward for defeating them).
  • New decoration: the washbasin.
  • New quests & rewards.
  • Two new traps, one for crap and one for fish.
  • New achievements.
  • There's a new song, and it's themed around Frog Charming.
  • Quality-of-life improvements (full list below).
  • Bug fixes.

As for the quality-of-life improvements, here's what's changed:

  • Chests can now be customised by name and colour.
  • Players can now ban others when kicking them out.
  • There's now a button for auto-run.
  • Quest icons have been updated.

Players can now go up to the second floor and try their hand at running an inn. New furniture has been added to help with that, including beds and a washing machine! For those who like adventure, there is also a new boss and two new quests, all with their own rewards.

Make sure to check out the game, especially as it's currently at a 40% discount until the 13th of March!
