Crusader Kings III Has Passed The Four Million Sales Milestone
Crusader Kings III has captivated a global audience with a mixture of character focused stories and depth of strategic planning. With a carefully researched medieval world stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to India and from the Arctic Circle to the Sahara, it's no surprise that it's managed to become a best selling medieval strategy RPG.
Earlier this year, Crusader Kings III has managed to pass the four million sales milestone on all platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Having released in the fall of 2020, Crusader Kings III combines the tens of thousands of different personalities as they march through uniquely written player-driven histories. Not only are there heroes, but there are villains, warriors, rogues, and saints.
Alexander Otner, the game director of Crusader Kings III has been delighted to see the game's success. One of the major goals of the game was to engage with history whilst players write their own dramatic tales of success and failure. Despite being five years old, there are still millions more stories to be told.
In fact, earlier this year, Crusader Kings III announced Chapter IV of PC content, which will include the largest map expansion in the history of the series. Soon, players will be able to play in East and Southeast Asia, undoubtedly creating more opportunities for more stories to come.
