Dead by Daylight Brings in a New Survivor, New Events, and All-New Cosmetics.

Dead by Daylight has introduced an all-new Survivor in the form of Orela Rose. Not only have they done this, but they've also introduced new Events, and all-new Cosmetics. Furthermore, they're partnering up with aa charity for a good cause.

Steady Pulse

Dead by Daylight: Steady Pulse introduces the previously mentioned, Orela Rose, a first responder who doesn't only intend to survive, but save as many others out of the Fog as possible.

Driven by the tragic loss of her closest friend, Orela made a vow to never let anyone else go through the same fate. Quitting university, she began her career as an EMT, where her unshaking demeanor and calm presence allowed her to excel in the field. However, you shouldn't only look to her to patch up wounds, for she thrives under intense pressure.

Orela's three character-specific Perks include:

  • Do No Harm
  • Duty of Care
  • Rapid Response

With Do No Harm, Orela gains increased heal speed, and Great Skill Check progress for each Hook State they have, whenever she heals another Survivor. Duty of Care allows her to take a Protection Hit when healthy, to give nearby Survivors a temporary Haste boost. Finally, Rapid Response allows Orela to rush-exit a Locker to become Exhausted to allow her to reveal the Killer's Aura for a short time. Of course, that one only works when Orela isn't already Exhausted.

Outside of the game, Dead by Daylight is celebrating Orela's release by partnering with Montreal's CHU Sainte-Justine's Foundation. The CHU Sainte-Justine's Foundation is a charity that combines philanthropy with pediatric advances at the Sainte-Justine Hospital. To support the foundation, all proceeds of sales from Orela's two Paramedic skins in-game, sold from 6th May to 27th May, will be going towards the support of hospitalised youths.

Not only will Dead by Daylight be doing thus, but they'll also be establishing a community-centric activity in the coming weeks. Of course, players can also choose to donate to the Foundation directly through their website

From 6th May, the Steady Pulse Collection will feature Orela's alternate looks. These include her Day Shift Outfit, where she dons her classic EMT uniform, and the Hacylon Dreams Outfit.

From 13th May, the Guardians & Shadows Collection returns. In this Collection, you'll find Ghost Face's Nevermore Outfit, Legion's Rodent King Outfit, and new looks for both Yun-Jin and Gabriel.

New Outfits are also coming to both the Chrysalis and Cats & Dogs Collections on 20th and 27th May, respectively. The Chrysalis offers new insectoid looks for The Xenomorph and The Executioner, while Cats & Dogs gives Ellen Ripley a Jonesy-themed top, and new outfits for The Unknown and Nicolas Cage.

Dead by Daylight: Steady Pulse is out now via Dead by Daylight. You can play the game now via PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
