Disney Speedstorm Introduces Four New Characters — All About Their Abilities
Gameloft introduced the Tron franchise in Disney Speedstorm's Season 12, bringing a bit of cyber and sci-fi to the race track. This release came with a few maps and, most importantly, characters for players to acquire, with four in total that were added to the game.
Here, we'll be talking about all of the racers and their abilities — both charged and otherwise! Starting with...
Sam Flynn
The protagonist from Tron: Legacy makes his debut on Disney Speedstorm, bringing with him the capability to stun enemies and take advantage of the iconic Hard Light that anyone can recognise from the franchise. Control the light-cycle champion and utilise his unique abilities to get a lead in the racetrack.
Sam's unique Ability allows you to throw his Identity Disc to stun opponents, hitting nearby foes and stunning them. However, if you charge his Ability, activating the Hard Light trail and giving him a speed boost — enemies hit by the Hard Light will be stunned.
Quorra
The deuteragonist joins in on the fun, as Quorra partakes in the Disney Speedstorm rage as well. As the last known ISO alive in the movie and a skilled warrior, she'll be a great addition to the roster, with offensive capabilities that will help you get first place.
Unlike Sam Flynn's use of Hard Light and Identity Discs, Quorra's kit includes a slew of more aggressive additions. Her unique Ability throws two missiles in front of her that explode when they come into contact; charging this Ability instead lets her throw two bombs behind her, blinding opponents with a wide range of area.
Rinzler
We've touched on the heroes, now it's time we delve into the villains who are joining. First up, we have the supporting antagonist, Rinzler, who uses similar abilities to those of Sam Flynn, with offensive use of Identity Discs and a speed-up boost.
His first Ability throws two Identity Discs simultaneously. Unlike Sam's, these Discs bounce off walls and damage everyone in their path, giving you a long range of offensive capabilities as you try to catch up to your opponents. His charge ability turns Kart into a flying vehicle, speeding up massively at the cost of becoming wider than a regular car; when coming into contact with an opponent racer, you will be able to hit and stun opponents.
Zuse
Finally, no party is ever complete without Zuse (known as Castor to others). Owner of the End of Line Club, his flamboyant personality takes over the Race Track, using his signature chaotic personality to speed up and pass other racers who stand in his way.
His signature Ability lets him fire a series of light projectiles forward, slowing down foes that get hit and obscuring their vision momentarily. When charged, however, Zuse begins a grand party, giving himself — and everyone around — a big bonus to speed, fuel, regeneration, and boost; the more racers affected by this, the stronger the effect is.
These were all of the characters introduced in Disney Speedstorm's 12th season, joining from Tron and Tron: Legacy!
