Enshrouded Sees Sixth Major Content Update in Thralls of Twilight Official Update Trailer

2024's Enshrouded by Keen Games GmbH was an instant hit that year, starting off strong alongside PockerPair's Palworld. Launching on Early Access, this title gave players the opportunity to take on the role of the Flameborn and try to bring back the dying race from the brink of extinction whilst fighting the terror that shrouds the world.

The realm of Embervale is calling back its champions to battle once again, as Keen Games releases the sixth major content update for Enshrouded: Thralls of Twilight. This time, though, you won't have the light to protect you, as the update emphasises nighttime and brings about changes to enhance that experience.

Thralls of Twilight incentivises players to jump into the action, where instead of heading to bed when nighttime beckons, it'll be time to face a new adventure set in the dark. Explore the riskier side of Embervale as you delve into the night and brave the Shroud, giving you the opportunity to find all-new equipment and goodies to reward you for experimenting with the darkness.

There's a slew of gameplay upgrades and updates available in Thralls of Twilight, but that's not all that Keen Games has been working on. To make the Shroud feel more immersive and dangerous, as it is the central focus of the gameplay for this update, the visuals have been touched on, making them more realistic. Working on the lighting and Shroud engines, the world will look ever so slightly different from what veteran Flameborn may be accustomed to.

Here's what's new in the sixth major content update for Enshrouded, Thralls of Twilight:

• Incentives to stay up past nighttime and explore the darker side of Embervale in the form of new rewards and resources for crafting
• New enemies introduced to hunt you at night: Predator, Flying Jelly, and the Critter Queen, all based around creepy crawlies.
• Different armour sets for daytime and nighttime, giving you the opportunity to pick between "day" or "themed" night clothes to embark on the appropriate journey across Embervale for all times of day
• New points of interest to be found in the Shroud, named Shroud Lairs, introducing new enemies guarding resources and treasures
• Shroud Forges, which you'll be able to use for upgrading, adding, and removing Weapon Gems, with 21 scattered throughout the world
• New fashion mechanic, giving you the opportunity to tint your armour in the Coloring Station
• New colour options for hair and eyes, available from the Barber in the village
• Significant visual upgrades to the Shroud to make it more menacing and give it more visual fidelity
• The first-ever fan-chosen quest, "The Dragons' Last Breath", unlockable by exploring the remains of dragons resting in the Albaneve mountains
