Stygian: Outer Gods is a new Lovecraftian survival horror with RPG elements being developed by Misterial Games and published by Fulqrum Publishing. In it, players will go searching for their missing father throughout many terrifying areas, fighting off all sorts of eldritch enemies and hoping to unravel a thousand-year-old mystery.

The game was recently released to Early Access, so here's everything you need to know about the upcoming journey!

Why is Stygian: Outer Gods Releasing in Early Access?

The developer is hoping to get the community's feedback so that they can better create a terrifying experience for H.P. Lovecraft fans.

How Long Will the Early Access Period Last?

The plan is for the game to release in the first half of 2026, though the developer is aware that this timeline might shift depending on feedback and the game's state by then.

How Will the Release Version Differ From the Early Access?

The Early Access version won't have the completed story, and the developer plans that the full release will double the size of what will be available in the initial Early Access release. Misterial Games hopes this will end in a 10+ hour adventure!

Throughout the EA, more locations, characters, quests, weapons, abilities, enemy types, and bosses will be added.

Last but not least, more English voiceovers will be added, as well as localisation for French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Simplified Chinese subtitles at launch.

What Is the Current State of the Game?

Stygian: Outer Gods' Early Access launch includes the following:

• Multiple areas to explore, such as Kingsport, the Brasko family mansion's courtyard, and parts of the eldritch Outworld.
• A slew of ranged and melee weapons.
• Usable items and crafting materials.
• Character progression: Eight Sinners and 16 Seers cards (which shape abilities and playstyles).

All of this makes it possible for players to explore different playthroughs.

Will Stygian: Outer Gods Be Priced Differently at Launch?

Yes, the game's price will change throughout the Early Access period. This won't happen without a warning to players via Steam news, Discussions, and social media.
