Forever Skies Has a Launch Date; Check Out the Trailer and Learn What You Can Expect from the Full Release!

Forever Skies is a post-apocalyptic first-person survival developed and published by Far From Home. This open-world title has been in Early Access since June 2023 and is making its way to full release now.

Before we talk about what new things are coming, I'd like to mention a quick overview of what the game itself is about. In Forever Skies, players can tackle a hostile post-apocalyptic Earth — alone or with up to three friends — after hundreds of years of being abandoned. This planet that we've left behind is nigh unrecognisable now, so they'll need to traverse by flying on their airship. While exploring, they'll come across parts to customise and upgrade their ship, which will work as a home, workshop, laboratory, and anything they might need to survive.

By collecting resources and using them in tandem with science, they'll be able to survive, reverse engineer lost technology, and discover new tools to have a better chance at surviving!

Through all of this advancement, they can explore the lost ruins of humanity to find out what happened and why Earth has become the way it is, then head below the dust to uncover how the world has changed in humanity's absence.

So, what can you expect from Forever Skies' full release?

• No more save resets (although the developer still recommends starting from scratch).
• There will still be more content updates and quality-of-life improvements post-release.
• The world will separated into biomes (this will make it easier to search for and acquire specific locations, resources, etc.)
• New locations, such as The Workshop (found in the Silent City biome), where players can find airship cosmetics and upgrades.
• New tools, such as the Laser Cutter.
• New points of interest.
• Changes to the Data Cards: players will be able to research for specific parts to research and unlock rather than rely on chance.
• Murals will be found around the world, and each one will tell a story; by scanning them and completing the collection, a reward will be unlocked.
• Colossal lifeforms: rare creatures that will net rare resources.
• The completed narrative.
