Grand Theft Auto VI Receives Second Trailer After Delay
Rockstar's upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI is nothing short of monumental, as the entire videogame industry waits with bated breath for its launch. Whether it's players eager to experience what comes next from the gargantuan Grand Theft Auto franchise or publishers and developers actively avoiding the launch, it wouldn't be an understatement to say that it's already affected the industry even long before its release and launch date announcement.
Originally set to come out in the Fall of 2025, it seems like that hasn't been a realistic window for a while. Now set for the 26th of May 2026, it'll be a little bit more than a year before it's out in public hands, which means that 2025 now has a massive, Grand Theft Auto VI–shaped hole in its release schedule.
That's not to say that Rockstar is slowing down with hyping their upcoming title; quite the opposite. It's been a year, now, since the launch of the first trailer that dropped on the 4th of December 2023, which was record-breaking and built hype for what was to come.
This time, the second trailer gives us a bit of a look at our protagonists in tandem, as we officially learn their last names: Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. Paired with their first encounter, chemistry, and graphics, the game has fans raving about the launch, after waiting 12 (soon 13) years for the sequel.
Though it hasn't beaten the records set by the first trailer, the latest video has still managed to amass over 88 million views in just two days, and continues to sit comfortably at #4 in Trending.
Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch on the 26th of May 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
