HELLDIVERS 2 - Heart of Democracy Update

Get to your Hellpods, Helldivers! As of the 20th of May (which is right now), the latest expansion to the Second Galactic War has just been released called “Heart of Democracy”.

The build-up to this update has been quite exciting. With an ARG to foreshadow the newest invasion of the Illuminate, with all new enemy types and objectives, weapon customisation becoming a thing, as well as various adjustments, Helldivers are eating good now (if they live long enough to make it to lunch).

I was actually playing when the update dropped, and just an hour or so before (which is becoming a trend for me) Mars was razed into molten slag. So… uh… yeah.

All of this has led up to what many Super Citizens have feared since Democracy was threatened once again: the war coming to Super Earth.

The patch notes aren’t released at the time of writing but you can refer to the Helldivers Discord, your Steam news, and anywhere you can get your hands on HELLDIVERS 2 news.
