inZOI Reaches #1 Wishlists on Steam Days Before the Official Release

Sims 4 competitor inZOI has been coming for what feels like forever, as eager fans have been waiting for an entry similar to Electronic Arts' behemoth for years, yet none have stepped up to the challenge. After the Online Showcase just a few days ago, and the release rapidly approaching with just a few days remaining, inZOI has surpassed the biggest upcoming titles in a last-minute climb.

The Online Showcase from a few days ago might be a big part of why this monumental achievement came to be. Many doubts surrounding the pricing model, the Early Access roadmap, the plans for how everything would go, and questions were answered throughout the showcase.

With the doubts cleared, inZOI's final trump card was to release a free demo for the Zoi creator and build mode ahead of the release, letting players use their made characters to start their gameplay. With no more secrets in place and players being able to create their Zoi, the upcoming life simulator skyrocketed in wishlists and passed even behemoths that have been in place for a while, such as Hollow Knight: Silksong.

It's not just top wishlists that inZOI is dominating in, as its Follower count also went up over 50,000 since the Online Showcase, putting it as the third most-followed upcoming release. The only two other titles that have been able to halt it are the enigma of Silksong and Valve's invite-only release, Deadlock.

inZOI will be officially released on the 28th of March 2025.
