inZOI Reveals Roadmap Up to 2026 in Latest Online Showcase
While fans are yet to even be able to get their hands on inZOI and begin their journey across the new competitor into the life simulator genre, we already know a lot regarding the future of the title and what we can expect moving forward. In the latest Online Showcase, we got to learn about the roadmap and what updates await us as the year trickles on!
The Online Showcase on the 19th of March gave us a great look at what we can expect from inZOI as the team takes a leap into the next steps for their release: Early Access. While the game launches on the 28th of March — with a surprisingly reasonable price — the inZOI team is already looking forward to the months (and nearly a year) after release, with updates that are going to be exciting for veterans of the genre.
The first major update to inZOI is going to be in May, which is roughly about a month after the game releases. In the roadmap shared on the Online Showcase, we get to see that Update #1 features a slew of highly requested features among the large list of things coming up.
Here's a look at what we can expect come May 2025 for inZOI:
- Mod Kit (Maya, Blender)
- Changes to Weight, Muscle Adjustment
- In-game Cheat Codes
- Relationship Improvements
- Adoption System
- Build Mode Improvements & New Furniture
- Create a Zoi Improvements
- Outfit Updates
Early incorporation of modding means that come Update #1, players will be able to roam free, letting their imaginations run wild with the prospect of modding to be unleashed. For an Early Access launch, this should give inZOI a healthy coat of replayability that might let players enjoy it for months to come while they wait for updates... and wait they will, as Update #2 will take a bit longer than the original.
For those looking forward after Update #1, Update #2 will be arriving sometime in August 2025, which is roughly about three to four months after the first one drops.
Here's what we know about the Update #2 and what we can expect.
- Ghost Play
- Swimming & Pools
- More Resources for Edit City
- AI Build Mode
- Freelancer Jobs
- Improvements to Text Messages & Skills
- Parenting Improvements
It was also left unclear whether the new Southeast Asian-inspired city will arrive with the August update or at a later date, but regardless, the DLC Kucingku will come, which is a Cat Island for lovers of feline fluffy babies. But regardless, seeing as the pricing model and the way it works for inZOI's Early Access, players can expect to acquire that for free once they have access to the title.
The wait between the second update and Update #3 won't be too long, as players will be able to jump into it sometime in October, giving it about two months of wait until the next slew of changes arrive.
With this update, players can expect:
- Family Tree
- Hotkey Customisation
- Adjust Object Size in Build Mode
- New Furniture
- Moving Homes UX Improvements
- Create a Zoi Improvements
- Mod Updates
Believe it or not, three updates wasn't enough and, in fact, we have teases of information for things coming up to Update #6 (though exact dates are a bit harder to see). In the second slide of the inZOI Roadmap, we get a final look at the clear updates in December Update #4.
Here's what you can expect for that one:
- Mermory System
- Move Cities
- Interaction Responses Based on Traits
- Build Mode Improvements & New Furniture
- Create a Zoi Improvements
- Mod Updates
- New Outfits
- Indoor Temperature
For the rest, however, we don't really get a clear view. The slide fades to black, letting us get a peek at Update #5's release date — March 2026 — alongside a new upcoming DLC (of which we can't really read the name). Update #6, then, is even less visible, but we can expect some additional clothes and outfits judging by the transparent image we do get a peek at.
Update #5 comes in March 2026 with a new DLC, and if the timelines are correct, the possible Update #6 could be sometime in May, following the release schedule that inZOI would have up to this point. But all of this is pure speculation based on an image that is far too difficult to read through.
