Monster Hunter Wilds Reveals Free Roadmap For Part of 2025 in Latest Trailer

CAPCOM's highly anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds isn't slowing down in the hype train, as it basks on being the singlehandedly most anticipated title coming to Steam currentlyWith thousands of followers, seating comfortably at the #1 spot on top wishlists whilst still being #6 in top sellers, it's easily one of the most highly anticipated titles currently.

Ahead of the release of the title, we got a bit of a sneak peek at what we can expect in the first half of 2025 in terms of free updates with their latest roadmap. This comes as part of a teaser at the end of the launch trailer, where we get a look at the upcoming monster in the first free update on Spring 2025: Mizutsune, first introduced in Monster Hunter Generations and last seen in Monster Hunter Rise.

The Mizutsune takes the cake as the primary focus of the roadmap, being so close due to its Spring 2025 release date shortly after the launch of Monster Hunter Wilds, but alongside it will be a few Event Quests and Additional Updates not yet shared. Meanwhile, a yet-unrevealed additional monster will arrive in the second free title update dropping in Summer 2025, with a few more Event Quests, giving players more reasons to continue their hunting.

Though this is the last we got to see of the free update roadmap, we do know that more content is yet to drop that hasn't been announced, as the image leaves players with a teasing "To be continued..." hinting at more coming our way throughout 2025. With two monsters already revealed, who knows what other things will be added throughout the coming months into the closing of 2025.

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to release on the 28th of February 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam.
