NetEase Games’ Rusty Rabbit Receives Official Release Date and Pricing Information in Latest Gameplay-filled Trailer
NetEase Games and visual novel company NITRO PLUS are working together on the upcoming release Rusty Rabbit published by SoFun. Take control of Stamp in a frozen wasteland abandoned by humanity who sets off into the underground in a mech suit to engage in “smash and dash” 2.5D action.
In a stroke of bad luck, Stamp and his trusty mech Junkster fall into the depths of the abandoned world. In the lower levels, players will find D-TAM terminals, where Stamp can learn more about the mystery of his missing daughter and uncover the truth about the world that the rabbits inherited.
The original concept for Rusty Rabbit was created by Gen Urobuchi, who you might know for their work in famous anime series, including Puella Magi Madoka Magica and PSYCHO-PASS. Likewise, you might recognise their work on the Godzilla animated movie trilogy, which you can find on Netflix.
Rush, dash, and use massive weapons to break through the blocks and find more terminals to uncover the hidden mysteries. The trailer shows off fast-paced mech action of destruction and boss fighting, where you’ll enhance your mech with customisable elements. Change four different elements to customise them to your liking, changing the way you delve into the world’s lower levels. In the trailer, we see that you can change:
- Dig
- Shoot
- Slice
- Hit
This gives you control over which sort of combat and digging you’ll want to engage with.
Rusty Rabbit will be released on the 17th of April 2025 for PlayStation 5, the Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam for £15.99.
