poncle Announces Major Free Update Patch is Coming to Vampire Survivors Next Month
In a recent update, where poncle shared information about the newest wiki, we got to learn a bit about the next major content update coming our way. After the release of Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania, it's been relatively quiet for free-to-play enjoyers, but that's all going to stop... and it'll be worth the wait.
Due to the team's excitement about the release of Ode to Castlevania, the content schedule pipeline has slowed down quite a bit, delaying their ideas for the year. Still, to make it right, this next update is meant to be one of the biggest free updates that Vampire Survivors has yet to receive (if not ever).
Though not a lot of information was shared about what we can expect from the update, we do know that its size is going to be monumental in contrast to what we've seen in previous free updates. Aside from a funny gif of a chicken added to the Steam News post, we also know that 1.13 comes next month with Cross-Save Progress.
The delay in Cross-Save progression is due to a number of blockers: security, privacy, and platform policies differing across the numerous consoles available. These issues meant that though we'll be getting cross save available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Android, and iOS, some other platforms will be unavailable from launch.
Due to the complexities, players who were looking forward to a Cross-Save progression release on the Nintendo Switch and the Apple Arcade will be unable to do so for the time being. While the former does have an expected release sometime in the near future, poncle is still investigating whether Apple Arcade will be a possibility.
Patch 1.13 of Vampire Survivors will be released next month.
