Roots of Pacha's Celebrates 2nd Anniversary With a Massive Free Update; Watch the Trailer!
Roots of Pacha is a farming sim set during the Stone Age, meaning players will have the chance to pioneer humanity forward through discovery and domestication. Developed and published by Soda Den, the game released back in April of 2023 and has received a 93% Very Positive score on Steam, with 3,000 reviews.
The second anniversary is being celebrated through update 1.3, which adds free content for players to jump into, whether it's returning veterans or new fans.
The update is all about learning to work together with other clans and learn about their ways, such as their festivals and mini-games. There's also a cave system that players can unlock through hidden sigils to discover new Pachan possibilities and unravel ancestral secrets. A lot of the new additions mostly affect mid- and end-game of the experience!
So, what can you expect from Roots of Pacha's 1.3 update?
- Two new regions: Mograni Mountains and Yakuan Islands.
- New Iea: ironworking.
- New feature: bug catching.
- Sun and Moon festivals.
- The ability to play Dice.
- New fauna, such as dodos and pandas.
- New characters (including some romance options).
- New outfits.
- The ability to sail on a raft to fish.
- New goods to decorate homes.
Timothy Dadone Nasello, Co-Founder of Soda Den, had the following to say,
"The journey of making Roots of Pacha has been an incredible experience. We're grateful to everyone who's been a part of it, and especially to the community that formed around it and that, just like the game, wonders about our human origins and the limitless possibilities of our curiosity."
Roots of Pacha, and its Sun and Moon update, are available now for free on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Players can crossplay between all versions!
