Strange Antiquities Reaches Impressive Wishlist Milestone Before Announcing Release Date

Bad Viking and Iceberg Interactive's Strange Horticulture released three years ago, sprouting a following of players that adored the experience and earned it a near-Overwhelmingly-Positive score on Steam with over 10,000 ratings (at the time of writing). Not only did gamers love it, but it received critical acclaim, with even our review giving it a glowing recommendation.

Though it was evident that the team had created something great, it wasn't obvious just how much until their sequel was announced. Strange Antiquities is the official sequel announced just shy of a year ago on the 23rd of May. The team received a lot of love and support, but just a year later — without even a release date — their sequel hit the impressive milestone of 100,000 wishlists.

It's no small feat, either. With a few updates here and there keeping fans up-to-speed on what's transpiring across their development schedule, the title hasn't received any major trailers aside from a few early looks and a gameplay trailer that gives a taste of what's to come. But without a release date, not even a prospective one, a 100,000 wishlist number is impressive at least, but it secures its spot as the #350th most-wishlisted title on Steam currently.

Strange Antiquities is looking like an explosive release for Bad Viking and Iceberg Interactive, and we look forward to learning more as we get closer to an official announcement of release.
