The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Bursts into Release

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Bursts into Release

Bethesda Softworks' favourited The Elder Scrolls entry, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, is often praised as one of the best entries into the franchise. While the original launched back in 2007, it still received wide acclaim as one of the best entries, praising it over even The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which has received many a release and heaps and bounds of praise.

We've known about the launch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered for a while, thanks to leaks throughout the industry, but just yesterday, Bethesda announced an upcoming livestream to talk about it all. Some were hoping for a launch soon, others were eager for a shadow drop a la Hi-Fi RUSH, and many were pleased with the results.

Officially, the full reveal stream showed all manner of beautiful locations for players to explore Cyrodiil for both veterans and newcomers, featuring gorgeous Unreal Engine 5 graphics. Can you shut the gates of Oblivion?

In an industry that has been flooded with pricey titles, it's a breath of fresh air to know that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered comes at a more reasonable price compared to full AAA titles (and even worse over on the Nintendo Switch 2 side). You can pick up Bethesda's title for £49.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, but notably, it's also part of day-one Game Pass launch, letting you play it if you already have a subscription!
