Two New Allies Join L in DEATH NOTE Killer Within!

L has gained two new allies in DEATH NOTE Killer Within. Previously, there were only five roles available: L, Kira, Kira's follower, Mello, and L's investigators. But now, L has an edge, as players can now take on the role of either Watari, and the chief of the National Police Agency (NPA).

For those unfamiliar, Watari is L's trusty handler and assistant, and from the start of the game, he and L will be fully aware of who the other is. Using his transceiver, he and L can discreetly share information, which assists L's team with the investigation. Kira will need to be careful, as when Watari dies, the other players will be notified, and so Kira's identity will be in danger of being uncovered.

The second role is that of the NPA chief, Soichiro Yagami, who is also the father of Light Yagami. Playing as Soichiro, the player will be able to call an emergency meeting and end the action phase whenever, but only once per game. And it can't be done while the Kira Command Card is in play. 

Additionally, DEATH NOTE Killer Within has new DLC available, including a premium avatar of Soichiro in pyjamas with a Snot Bubble and Nightcap. This is only part of a set, which also include more in Premium Customisation Track Volume 4. Players will be able to get customisation parts and rewards as they level up, including the Watari and Soichiro avatars, and the Japanese Police Set pets, nameplates, voiced cut-ins, and various accessories.
