War Thunder Now Available on NVIDIA SHIELD

Gaijin Entertainment has announced the availability of War Thunder on NVIDIA SHIELD, which has just launched in North America. The NVIDIA SHIELD finally sees War Thunder transition from the desktop & console to the mobile platform, albeit one that requires special hardware to run at the moment.

The NVIDIA SHIELD system is fitted with a Tegra X1 processor and runs on the Android OS, allowing it to render War Thunder just like a PC would. The NVIDIA SHIELD version of War Thunder can take part in cross-platform battles with users on the PC, Mac, Linux and PlayStation 4.

Currently, War Thunder for NVIDIA SHIELD is in Open Beta and is available in the Google Play store here.

Only Arcade Air and Realistic Air modes are currently available, as Ground Forces take up significantly more processing power on the other available systems and is expected to be the case as well on the NVIDIA SHIELD.
