Watch a Video of the Lead Designer at Ivy Road Break Down Their Experience Developing Wanderstop
Wanderstop is a narrative-driven farming/shop simulator where players take on the role of Alta — a fallen fighter who is struggling to let go of her past and accept the current situation. The game's developed by Ivy Road, a team that includes Davey Wreden (creator of The Stanley Parable and The Beginner's Guide) and Karla Zimonja (co-creator of Gone Home and Tacoma), and published by Annapurna Interactive.
The developer thought it would be fun for players to watch members of the team talk about their experiences while developing Wanderstop. The first one of the series is Ritual + Repetition: Creating Meaning in Wanderstop's Game Design: a 4:29-long video where the Lead Designer breaks down how the gameplay ties in with the emotional narrative!
Make sure to check it out to gain a deeper understanding of the gameplay, the narrative, and the experience of the dev team!
Wanderstop currently has a 10% discount on Steam, and it will be so until the 18th of March! It's also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
