When Does League of Legends' New Game Mode, Brawl, Release?

League of Legends has shown off the Spirit Blossom Beyond season, as Season 2 Act 1 has begun with the latest launch trailer. Shown off in it was the latest Brawl mode, but summoners logging into the game looking for it will find instead an empty spot where the featured game mode should be.

While Spirit Blossom Beyond has been announced to have begun, with the changes to the Summoner's Rift map already on live servers, Brawl is still undergoing its test phase. Despite the launch of the season, we won't be seeing the new game mode for a little bit more time, giving players the opportunity to explore Summoner's Rift for a bit.

The more casual game mode is a rotating one that has seen some support from the PBE community, who has been enjoying it as of the 30th of April. Similar to SMITE's Arena mode, players brawl (hah) it out in a one-lane map with buffs to the sides, fighting to reduce the amount of life the opponents have by slaying enemy minions and escorting ally ones to the portal.

This is supposed to be a way for newcomers to be able to enjoy the game and come to grips with understanding characters, especially in teamfight settings (though we've seen this quickly become one of the most famous modes in SMITE previously). There's no mention of it becoming a permanent mode just yet, but we're hopeful that it will make a swift return to give casual enjoyers a different mode that isn't ARAM.

As to when it officially releases, Brawl will be coming out on Patch 25.10, which is the next patch, on the 14th of May. We don't really know when it will be ending, as Riot Games hasn't touched on that specifically, so stay tuned to learn more about an end date.
