Monster Hunter Wilds Concurrent Players Doubles with Latest Major Content Update

Monster Hunter Wilds Concurrent Players Doubles with Latest Major Content Update

It's no secret that CAPCOM's Monster Hunter Wilds has become the single biggest release of 2025 so far (still a lot of the year left!). Despite its Mixed review launch on Steam, it's still been a massive success for CAPCOM, becoming the strongest Monster Hunter release, and it wasn't even close!

Though it would take a miracle for Wilds to beat its all-time concurrent peak after setting such a high standard, it is still surprising the sheer number of players still enjoying it despite its age. While saying a one-month-old release is already "aged" might sound ludicrous, with the fast-moving speed of the videogaming industry in its current state, it's no surprise if titles fall off their all-time concurrent peak after their first weekend and never see heights like those again.

Released on the 27th of February, CAPCOM's Monster Hunter Wilds continues to impress, and with the latest Title Update 1, it's brought many Hunters back to the fray. There is simply too much to do for those itching to return to the Forbidden Lands, and it's no surprise that Hunters jumped at the first opportunity to do so when given an excuse.

Whether it's to continue (or complete) their Crown Hunting or experience the new content, one thing's certain: Title Update 1 brought concurrent players back to a peak that Monster Hunter Wilds hadn't seen in a few weeks. With 555,797 players returning to experience Title Update 1, it was numbers that Wilds hadn't seen since the 16th of March, a surprisingly high amount considering that at the time, the game was already over a month old.

While it's not entirely surprising — Monster Hunter titles are famed for their long run times — it's still a surprising number that has yet to be beaten in 2025. Monster Hunter Wilds still basks in a top 10 spot of Steam Top Sellers, and who knows how future content updates will affect this even more.
