Vampire Survivors Crosses Over to Idle Desktop Title in Unexpected Collab

If you thought Vampire Survivors' only goal was to increase its IP reach by growing with more and more on-boarded publishers, you'd be wrong. This time, poncle's dominant IP has invaded another world... and it's surprisingly cosy.

Mister Morris Games, the developer who you may know for popularising the desktop idler genre with the title Rusty's Retirement, has officially partnered up with Vampire Survivors after poncle was playing the game and thought, "What if Poe retired?". So, everyone's garlic-devouring old man and a few other characters have hung up their hats, whips, and garlic to enjoy a more peaceful life by owning a house and farming.

The Rusty's Retirement and Vampire Survivors collaboration brings the following content:

• New Vampire Survivors characters joining the Rusty's Retirement roster
• Houses for all of the Vampire Survivors characters
• A toggleable option with bats attacking the farm, which you can defend by planting the iconic garlic

The Vampire Survivors update for Rusty's Retirement is out now, and it's a free-to-play addition to the title, so you won't need to make any DLC purchases to take control of Poe and the visiting cast. Or, you can multitask and play both games simultaneously — we won't judge.
